Prithvi CDR

About Prithvi CDR

We exist because the planet cannot afford imprecision.

Prithvi CDR is an Earth Restoration Company founded in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. We build carbon removal projects across India's most productive restoration landscapes — measuring every tonne, verifying every claim, and funding the work through high-integrity carbon credits.

Positioning

Building India's Climate Restoration Infrastructure

Our Origin

Born from the soil of Central India.

Madhya Pradesh sits at the heart of India — geographically, ecologically, and historically. Its forests, river systems, and agricultural lands represent one of the most significant carbon and biodiversity opportunities on the subcontinent. It is also a landscape deeply shaped by degradation — of soil, of forest cover, of water tables — over the last century.

Prithvi CDR was founded on a single conviction: that the same landscapes most affected by extraction and degradation hold the greatest potential for carbon removal and ecological restoration — and that the financial mechanisms now exist to make that restoration economically viable.

Prithvi means Earth. It is not a metaphor. It is a commitment to the ground itself — to the soil, the carbon, and the communities that depend on both.

Carbon removal is not an offset. It is an act of ecological repair — measurable, verifiable, and permanent.

How We Work

Scientific Integrity

We hold ourselves to the standard of peer review. Every claim is backed by data, every measurement independently verified.

Ecological First

Carbon is the metric of our market — but restoration is the goal. We design for ecosystems, not just credits.

Long Horizon

Geological time moves slowly. We build organisations, relationships, and methodologies designed to outlast any individual project.

Rooted in Place

We are an Indian organisation working in Indian landscapes, with Indian communities. This is not a global template applied locally.
